If I Were President ……

I have thought about this many times.  What would I do if I were President and had a reasonable Congress? Upon thinking about this and reading many books and opinions, I decided that our Constitutional government is the most perfect among all of the governments and experiments that have been tried on the Planet on which we have been allowed to live.  Only the return of Christ would be better.  Our Constitution was written and performed based on God’s Law.  So there would be a number of changes I would make to return this nation to a nation of We The People of the United States.

  • Teach our children the tenent of the Constitution and Bill of Rights original to the Founders’ principles.  Accompanying this, the Bible should be taught and prayer invoked into our educational programs so our children will know who they are and why our system of government is important. Civics would be part of the permanent cirriculum so our children would be able to hold governmental office and continue its form and purpose with knowledge instead of their own ideas. Also with this knowledge, they would be prepared to vote and choose leaders intelligently.
  • Recind all frivolous laws that have served to diminish the natural human condition. Among these would have to be The Income Tax, The IRS, The Patriot Act, The Federal Reserve Act. The Income Tax because it is a “lawful theft of unearned income”.  The IRS because it acts as a Gestapo to control all commerce and labor.  The Patriot Act because it allows the government to act as a police force against all domestic citizens.  The Federal Reserve because it is a private institution that relies on public debt while enriching itself and its owners; without it, there would be no national debt, and no recession, depression or bubbles that tend to enrich only the elite.
  • Secure the Borders and Limit Immigration. According to experts in the field, within 50 years immigration, both legal and illegal, will increase the number of inhabitants within the continent by 168 million.  That will mean more food production to feed this number, more water resources which we do not have, more roads, more vehicles traveling on roads, more housing built on less land which will be “housing projects” with 2×4 rooms, fewer health care providers and less health care.  It could be a scenario like Soylent Green.
  • Abolish the United Nations from our borders.  This organization gets free rent, free housing for the acting chairman, 20% of all its operating expenses from U.S. taxpayers and yet it has been suggested that a “permanent” tax be imposed upon American citizens so the UN could have its “own” money; NOT the rest of the world, just the United States.
  • Take a look at all trade agreements since there are many of these that are purely “giveaway” programs designed benefit the other country with which the U.S. conducts business.  Trade agreements should benefit both parties entering into the agreement, so “Free Trade” should also be “Fair Trade.
  • Resign from the International Monetary Fund. This is another corruption designed to gain control of Third World Countries and their resources, but many times the money furnished by the American taxpayer to fund loans to the rest of the world wind up being never repaid or if they are repaid it can be as high as 30% interest.  Most of the time, these loans just wind up enslaving millions of people and creating additional poverty.

These are just a few of the “adjustments” I would make, but just those few would ensure that I would never be elected President of the United States.  Our Founders believed that the Constitution of the United States could be maintained only as long as the people remained vigilant and aware of how they were being governed.  It seems that the presidency is important only as it aspires to the status of Rock Star in this day and age, and we are no longer a virtuous people capable of controlling our own passion and reason.
