Genesis.  The seed-plot of the Bible! Understanding the first few chapters of Genesis is the key to understanding the Bible, the Jewish people and perhaps the overall outlook of man. Readers will see creation and re-creation in the very first chapter.

The first creation of earth was made for the beautiful angel, Lucifer.  He was the right hand of God and also His favorite.  The Earth was made perfect for Lucifer.  Too bad he trashed out Earth when he was given his own domain.  He became very haughty and proud, considering himself equal to God.  He no longer needed God since he was God’s equal.  Very sad and disappointed, God destroyed his creation of Earth with a great and mighty flood.  Lucifer got really wet.

When God re-created Earth, He did something revolutionary.  He created man and woman in His own image and gave them Eden.  Adam and Eve were innocents, but very smart, so God allowed Adam to name all the animals and gave them dominion over them.

Lucifer really didn’t like the idea of God making Adam and Eve and giving them HIS Earth.  But he was very crafty.  Knowing that humans were very, very innocent, he approached Eve, asking why she did not eat the fruit of the tree of Knowledge.  She told Lucifer that God had told her and Adam not to eat of it, lest they would die.  “Oh, no”, said Lucifer.  You will not die.  You will be as smart as God.”   “Oh” , said Eve.  So she plucked the fruit from the tree, took a bite and then took the rest to Adam, who also ate the fruit.  Then, both Adam and Eve realized they were naked and hid from God.  When God found them, they both were trying to hide their nakedness, and God knew they had disobeyed Him.

There are a few considerations that need to be made here. (1) There were 2 great floods, not just one.  The first one destroyed all life completely.  (2) Lucifer and all the rest of the angels do not look like God and therefore do not look like us.  (3) Adam and Eve were victims of  Lucifer, but they were not excused from disobedience, so the Earth remains Lucifer’s domain. He is still trying to rid himself of mankind because he realizes the promise God made to humans.
